While not all devices are built to withstand extreme temperature ranges, Zebra's full lineup of rugged, fully rugged and ultra-rugged tablet PCs doesn't let freezing temperatures delay your workday — or freeze your data. You'll never experience a rugged mobile computer meltdown either, even as the temperatures rise to 140°F (60°C) inside or out. Zebra rugged tablets are both cold-resistant and heat-resistant so they remain strong and fully operational at even the most extreme temperature levels.

Rugged tablets are frequently introduced into extreme temperature environments created by both outside climate conditions and indoor industrial infrastructure. In warehousing and distribution centers, for example, a single rugged tablet can travel from the 140°F heat of a loading dock or transportation vehicle to the -22°F freezing cold temperature of a refrigerated storage facility via a forklift within a matter of minutes, several times a day.

That's why Zebra utilizes extensive MIL-STD-810G testing methods for both high temperatures and low temperatures to confidently ensure the safety, integrity and performance of our durable tablet PCs when either operational or stored in such extreme temperature ranges — whether ambient or induced.

Most of our tough tablet PCs, like the XSLATE L10, for instance, will deliver the data and durability you need in extreme operating temperatures ranging from -3 °F to 140 °F (-20 °C to 60 °C). Their storage temperature tolerance is even greater with a range of -22 °F to 158 °F (-30 °C to 70 °C). Even the cold soak start temperature of Zebra rugged tablets is -3 °F to 140 °F (-20 °C to 60 °C). After all, they're built to survive thermal shock when put to work in global industries' harshest climate conditions.
